(The Flood: The War on Palestine in Gaza)

Written while the war was still unfolding, this is Azmi Bishara's scholarly assessment of Israel's war on Gaza following the 7 October 2023 "Al-Aqsa Flood" operation. In four chapters — a long analytical essay plus three wartime articles and lectures — the prominent Palestinian intellectual examines the war's background, motives, and conduct, arguing it constitutes genocide and crimes against humanity. One of the most prominent Arabic-language analyses of the Gaza war.
