The Eyes of Gaza: A Diary of Resilience

A first-person diary of the 45 days Plestia Alaqad spent reporting from Gaza after 7 October 2023, written as the bombardment unfolded around her. Moving between shelters, hospitals and the streets she grew up on, Alaqad records daily survival alongside the destruction of her city, and reflects on what it means to be a witness, a survivor and a reporter at once. The book includes her poem "Only in Gaza" and a new afterword on her departure from Gaza and life in exile.
